36 Commuter CASH is an innovative approach to combat traffic congestion on U.S. 36.  Jointly funded by 36 Commuting Solutions and a federal grant, the program pays U.S. 36 commuters who currently drive solo to work when they choose to "make the switch" and bicycle, carpool, ride transit, vanpool, telework or walk.  Participants can earn $2/day, as much as $120 in a 90-day pledge period.

Eligibility requirements:

  • Participants must currently drive alone to work
  • Participants must travel along U.S. 36 (Boulder to Westminster) to get to or from work

Program process:

  • Read the Program Requirements and Guidelines 
  • Complete the Program Application and return it to 36 Commuting Solutions via fax, email or mail
  • After your application has been approved, register to the 36 Commuter CASH website
  • Log your commutes each day of your 90-day pledge period
  • At the end of your 90-day pledge period, print and sign your Commute Report (Commute Reports must be signed by you and your work supervisor)
  • Return your signed Commute Report to 36 Commuting Solutions via fax, email or mail
  • Pick-up your gift card when you are notified that it has arrived
