Bike to Work Day- Wednesday, June 23

Mark your calendar! Bike to Work Day is Wednesday, June 23, 2010.  Bike to Work Day is a region-wide celebration of bicycling as a healthy and sustainable way to get to work.

The Denver Regional Council of Governments (DRCOG) brings together city and county governments, CDOT, RTD and other interested groups in the metro area each year to plan Bike to Work Day as a way of raising awareness of bicycle commuting.

In 2009, nearly 30,000 people participated in Bike to Work Day region-wide, eliminating nearly 1 million vehicle miles traveled.  In the U.S. 36 corridor, 1,600 people participated, reducing 188,357 vehicle miles traveled.

Free registration for individuals and company teams, interactive regional breakfast station map, t-shirts and more available at DRCOG.org starting early May.

Breakfast stations
Breakfast stations are a key part of the fun and celebration of Bike to Work Day.  Cyclists can stop by any breakfast station for food, refreshments, entertainment and camaraderie as they pedal their way to work.

36 Commuting Solutions is helping coordinate several Bike to Work Day breakfast stations along U.S. 36.  We hope you'll visit us at one (or more!):
